Job description:
We are looking for a Supervisior responsible for ensuring free and fair economic competition in the financial system.
Job responsibilities
- Assess anti-competitive behavior resulting from acquisitions of significant participation and concentrations in financial institutions, ensure cooperation with other authorities
- Study the behavior of dominant entities in concentrated financial markets, identify possible abuses and provide recommendations
- Conductcompetitive analysis , identify risks of competition restrictions and implement supervisory measures
- Monitor financial market data, assess the competitive situation, implement preventive measures and propose policy reforms
- Evaluate the impact of regulation on competition, conduct legal and procedural research related to competition law and policy
- Prepare and update analytical reports on financial markets, consolidate reporting forms and propose measures for effective competition policy implementation
- Study international best practices, develop internal guidelines and case studies
- Manage competition-related projects and ensure timely delivery of results
Required qualifications
- Higher education in economics or law
- At least 2 years of professional experience in the financial/competition field
- Strong knowledge of financial system participants’ operations
- Advanced knowledge of microeconomics
- Profound knowledge of competition and financial system legislation
- Knowledge of database management systems
- Excellent command of Armenian, English and Russian
