AUA Extension is seeking an Arabic Language Instructor to teach Arabic language courses to adult learners.

Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver Arabic language lessons according to the course curriculum.
Teach Arabic at appropriate proficiency levels.
Develop students' speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
Prepare engaging classroom activities, exercises, and supplementary learning materials.
Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain accurate attendance and course-related records.
Create an interactive, supportive, and learner-centered classroom environment.
Communicate effectively with students and AUA Extension staff.
Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet learners' needs and proficiency levels.

Required Qualifications

University degree in Arabic Language, Arabic Studies, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
Excellent command of Arabic, preferably at C1/C2 level or equivalent.
Previous experience teaching Arabic as a foreign or second language.
Strong knowledge of Arabic grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and communication.
Ability to teach adult learners at different proficiency levels.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to use interactive and communicative language-teaching methods.

Additional Qualifications — Considered a Plus

The following qualifications and experience will be considered an advantage:

Native or near-native proficiency in Arabic;
Formal qualification in teaching Arabic as a foreign language or an equivalent teaching qualification;
Knowledge and practical application of CEFR or other recognized language proficiency frameworks;
Experience teaching Arabic to learners from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds;
International teaching or academic experience;
Knowledge of Armenian and English.
