Chartered Accountant (Overseas Assignment)

We are hiring an auditor on a contractual basis to design and deliver an audit training
program for a cohort of graduates majoring in accounting or finance. The role is based
overseas: three months on site, full time, followed by three months of part-time remote
support. This is a role for someone who has run statutory audits and can teach what they
know, not for someone who intends to learn it from the material.

Your Challenge
• Design the curriculum, delivery schedule and assessment approach. The cohort
enters at a known and consistent academic standard, so the programme is built to
take them from theory to practice rather than to establish where they are starting
from.
• Build all training materials, including slides, exercises, worked examples, real-life
case studies and practice data sets, so participants get practical, hands-on
experience rather than theory alone.
• Deliver the programme in person over three months, covering the reporting
framework, transaction cycles, measurement and judgement, the period-end close,
financial statement preparation, internal control and ethics.
• Run hands-on Zoho Books labs alongside the classroom modules so participants
learn the accounting question and the system action together.
• Supervise participants through at least one full period-end close on live or realistic
records.
• Design and run a mock audit, review the audit files participants produce, and hold
closing meetings on the findings.
• Assess each participant individually and report on the capability attained and the
gaps remaining.
• Provide three months of remote support after the on-site phase at 16 hours per week,
covering planned support sessions, query resolution and month-end close support.
• Work jointly with a second Chartered Accountant, and coordinate with a senior
SELISE finance executive who delivers a two-week module inside the programme.

Your Qualifications
• Full member in good standing of ICAB, ICAI, ICAEW, ACCA or another IFAC
member body. Part-qualified candidates and finalists awaiting admission are not
eligible.
• Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience, of which at least 2 years in statutory
external audit in professional practice.
• At least 10 statutory audits personally taken from planning to completion, including 5
where you were the senior person on site.
• Internal audit, audit support or offshore delivery centre work, tax work performed
within an audit firm, and your articleship or training contract do not count towards the
audit requirement.
• Audit experience under International Financial Reporting Standards.
• Experience delivering structured training to groups of ten or more, ideally to
graduates or staff early in their careers, and designing that content yourself rather
than delivering someone else's.
• Hands-on audit competence in Zoho Books or a comparable cloud accounting
platform such as QuickBooks Online, Xero or NetSuite.
• Able and willing to live overseas for three continuous months on a fixed schedule that
cannot be moved. Passport valid for at least 12 months from the start date and
eligible for a work permit.
