Job description:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-orientated Senior Project Manager to lead software development projects from initiation to delivery. The ideal candidate should possess project management expertise combined with a basic understanding of technical concepts like APIs, system architecture, and cloud environments. You will work closely with developers, designers, QA engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and successful delivery.

Job responsibilities

Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders.
Create detailed project plans and track progress using tools like Jira, TFS, or Asana.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of tasks.
Review and understand API documentation, data flows, and integration requirements to support clear communication between technical and non-technical teams.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including user stories, functional descriptions, and generate reports at each stage of the project.
Collaborate with developers and QA teams to manage sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives (Agile/Scrum).
Manage risk, track dependencies, and proactively resolve project roadblocks.
Communicate project status, risks, and updates to stakeholders through regular reports.
Ensure project documentation is complete and well-maintained.

Required qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
4+ years of experience managing IT/software development projects (experience in the financial or banking sector is an advantage)
Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Ability to read and understand API documentation and communicate API requirements with stakeholders.
Familiarity with tools like Postman, Swagger, or similar for API testing is a plus.
Basic understanding of databases, system integrations, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Good command of Russian and English languages.
PMP, CSM, or equivalent certification is a plus.
