Job description:

STREACS (Strengthening Research in Armenia for Energy Transition toward Climate Solutions) is an EU Horizon Europe-funded project to enhance the research capacity in Armenia to support the acceleration of the energy transition toward clean and renewable energy sources while enhancing the country’s energy security. Such enhanced capacity will also enable Armenia to become better integrated into and a more productive actor in the European Research Area. STREACS will facilitate the transfer of knowledge, exchange of best practices, networking with research institutions in the EU, creation of online teaching modules, and conduction of research projects. The project was launched in June 2024 with an overall project length of 36 months. The project consortium is led by the AUA Acopian Center for the Environment and includes the National University of Ireland Maynooth, Università degli Studi della Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, Scientific Research Institute of Energy, National Polytechnic University of Armenia, Università degli Studi di Genova, and Artemat Srl.

Job responsibilities

The STREACS Project Support Consultant shall:

  • Monitoring project progress and provide detailed updates to the Project Manager or any other person(s) designated by AUA Acopian Center director;
  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, and expenditures;
  • Organizing, attending, and participating in stakeholder meetings;
  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings;
  • Providing liaison and follow-up with team members;
  • Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings;
  • Ensuring project deadlines are met;
  • Providing support, such as preparation of contracts, transfer acceptance acts and other payment documents, and arranging logistics as needed;
  • Undertaking project tasks as required;
  • Ensuring project visibility, updating project website/FB page/other platforms if any, handling outreach communication-related activities as needed;
  • Ensuring the project adheres to the Grant and Consortium Agreements requirements and all documentation is maintained appropriately;
  • Creating and managing a calendar for tracking and fulfilling each goal and objective;
  • Providing support to the Grants Manager or any other person(s) designated by AUA Acopian Center director in project cost control and financial reporting.
  • Other support to AUA Acopian Center activities as deemed necessary․
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3 years’ experience in projects
  • Exceptional ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver clear and compelling presentations.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and cost control practices, including the preparation of contracts and payment documents.
  • Ability to support the Grants Manager in project cost control and financial reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure that all project documentation and communications are accurate and maintained appropriately.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing issues and implementing solutions.
  • Results-oriented and professional approach to work.
