Job description:
The Project Manager / Team Lead will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and overall management of a large-scale ICT project for a duration of 6 months. The incumbent will oversee the consultancy engagement, ensure effective coordination among stakeholders, manage project implementation activities, and ensure successful delivery of all assignment objectives within the agreed timeline and quality standards.
Job responsibilities
- Develop and establish the overall implementation framework and execution strategy for the scope of services.
- Lead and oversee the entire consultancy engagement from initiation to completion.
- Coordinate and manage project teams, stakeholders, and relevant personnel within the beneficiary organization.
- Ensure effective planning, execution, monitoring, and control of all project activities.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Identify project risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of all deliverables.
- Provide strategic guidance and technical leadership throughout the assignment.
- Prepare and present project status reports, progress updates, and recommendations to relevant authorities.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, applicable standards, and organizational policies.
- Perform any other relevant tasks necessary for the successful completion of the assignment.
Required qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) from a reputed university.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification, or an equivalent internationally recognized project management certification, is mandatory.
- Strong academic background and thorough knowledge of ICT gained from internationally recognized academic institutions.
- An MBA degree will be considered an added advantage.
- Minimum 25 years of extensive professional experience in managing large-scale ICT infrastructure and technology projects.
- At least 10 years of experience leading and managing similar large-scale ICT projects, preferably within the financial services or banking sector.
- Demonstrated experience working with public sector organizations and government institutions.
- Proven track record of successfully leading complex, multi-stakeholder technology transformation initiatives.
- Minimum 10 years of professional work experience in advanced/developed countries.
- Strong experience in project governance, stakeholder management, strategic planning, and consultancy assignment management.
