Your Role Overview
Prelaunch.com's Engineering team continues growing and we are looking for a Lead Engineer to join us.
Prelaunch serves as an all-in-one platform for testing the demand for the product and uncovering the perfect price point. It provides everything the creator needs for the prior product validation process in one place: a special landing page for different positioning, price, and design testings, as well as solid analytics along with market-tested benchmarks.
And we are in search of a proficient Lead Engineer who will also assume the responsibilities of a Tech Lead. As part of this role, you will be accountable for guiding a team of developers, supervising the creation of frontend and backend solutions, and ensuring the successful deployment of cloud-based solutions using our designated technology stack. The perfect candidate should possess at least 5 years of experience in full-stack software development, along with a demonstrated history of excellence in a leadership capacity.
Job responsibilities

Product Ownership: Oversee the entire product, ensuring optimal functionality, performance, and user experience.

Performance Monitoring: Actively monitor product performance, ensuring high standards of functionality and user experience are maintained.

Architectural Decisions: Lead crucial architectural decisions to create efficient, scalable, and secure software solutions.

Team Mentorship & Development: Mentor team members, aiding in their professional growth. Proactively share best practices with other teams and members.

Knowledge Sharing: Dedicate at least 30% of your time to training and knowledge sharing across teams, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.

Recruitment & Onboarding: Play a crucial role in the engineering hiring process and ensure new hires are successfully onboarded and integrated into our development process.

Challenging Tasks and more: Tackle the most challenging parts of projects, demonstrating and encouraging problem-solving and innovative thinking.

Business: Understand the business side of our operations, incorporating business timelines into technical decision-making processes.

Decision-making Authority: Exercise your authority in making final, pivotal decisions on technical matters.
Required qualifications
What skills will you need for this role?
- Willingness to take Leadership and Ownership and push boundaries
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in full-stack software development, with a proven track record in a similar leadership role.
- Proficiency with our tech stack: React.js, Node.js, and AWS.
- Deep expertise in AWS Serverless Stack services, including DynamoDB, DynamoDB Streams, AppSync, and AWS Amplify.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, and GraphQL.
- Good leadership and mentorship abilities, with a keen interest in the professional growth of team members.
- Strong understanding of business operations and the ability to incorporate this into decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the ability to drive projects to successful completion.
- Good knowledge of English.
