Job description:

The IT Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for assessing the existing ICT infrastructure environment and preparing comprehensive technical reports and recommendations to support the modernization, security, resilience, and future scalability of the organization’s technology ecosystem for a duration of two months. The consultant will evaluate infrastructure architecture, information security controls, ICT governance practices, and operational readiness, and will provide strategic recommendations for infrastructure enhancement, cybersecurity improvement, asset management, and future business modernization initiatives.

Job responsibilities
  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the existing IT infrastructure, systems, networks, and operational environment.
  • Prepare a detailed technical report outlining recommendations for maintaining, securing, and optimizing the overall IT systems and network infrastructure to ensure reliable and uninterrupted operations.
  • Perform technical needs assessments including, ICT Governance and Strategy, Enterprise Architecture and Design, Application Security, Infrastructure Security, ICT Security and Cybersecurity, Business Alignment and Future Business Modernization Roadmap, Security Audit Requirements and Gap Assessment of Existing Systems and Architecture.
  • Assess the effectiveness, scalability, resilience, and security of existing infrastructure environments.
  • Identify infrastructure gaps, operational risks, security vulnerabilities, and technology constraints, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Develop recommendations for modernizing infrastructure platforms, networks, data centers, cloud environments, and security architecture.
  • Support the design and planning of infrastructure enhancement initiatives, including high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Assist in designing and developing asset inventory management frameworks, processes, and related documentation.
  • Evaluate infrastructure governance practices and recommend improvements aligned with international standards and industry best practices.
  • Assess business continuity, disaster recovery, and operational resilience capabilities.
  • Prepare technical reports, architecture recommendations, implementation roadmaps, and strategic guidance documents.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align infrastructure modernization initiatives with organizational objectives.
  • Perform any other relevant tasks required for the successful completion of the assignment.
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), or a related discipline from an internationally renowned academic institution.
  • The candidate must possess ITIL certification, relevant professional certifications in networking, infrastructure, systems administration, data center management, cloud technologies, or information security.
  • Preferred certifications include: Cisco (CCNP/CCIE), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or equivalent, VMware Certifications, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Certifications & CISSP, CISM, or equivalent security certifications
  • Proven track record of working with information security and ICT infrastructure in advanced countries for a minimum of 10 years.
  • At least 10 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale IT infrastructure environments, particularly within the financial services sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in infrastructure architecture, network design, systems administration, data center operations, and cybersecurity.
  • Proven experience conducting infrastructure assessments, security reviews, gap analyses, and technology modernization initiatives.
  • Strong experience in ICT governance, infrastructure security, business continuity, disaster recovery, and operational resilience planning.
  • Experience designing and implementing infrastructure solutions for large and complex organizations.
  • Proven experience implementing and managing Tier III Data Centers and Disaster Recovery (DR) sites for large financial institutions will be considered a strong advantage.
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments, including banking, financial services, government, or critical infrastructure sectors, is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare strategic technical assessments, infrastructure roadmaps, and modernization recommendations.
