Job description:

The American University of Armenia is hiring an HR Coordinator.

Job responsibilities

  1. Assists in

    • conducting recruitment and selection,
    • maintaining HRM databases (personal data, salary, vacations/leaves, turnover),
    • performing daily activities including processing of employment contracts, vacation, business trip and other leave requests, absenteeism forms, payroll,
  2. Prepares/sorts out all required documentations for service and employment contracts.

  3. Processеs work-study, teaching assistant/associate, research, and other service contracts and monthly acceptance acts following through their final processing with the Accounting office.

  4. Controls service contract databases, including university-wide grant project initiatives by maintaining relevant files, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.

  5. Conduct orientation sessions on policies and procedures to ensure smooth integration of newly hired employees.

  6. Prepares presentations on policies and procedures for communicating to employees.

  7. Performs translation of related materials from English into Armenian and from Armenian into English.

  8. Manages and updates various databases, including the recruitment database, by creating visualizations and reports to track and summarize data effectively.

  9. Designs and conducts staff surveys on an as-needed basis.

  10. Conducts HR-related research using the Internet, other online sources and media, and prepares presentations as needed.

  11. Prepares reports and other official documentations for external organizations and coordinates special projects as needed.

  12. Performs other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field (public and/or business administration, HR management).
  • Strong written/oral communication skills in English, Armenian.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Computer skills (MS Office, spreadsheets, database management).
  • Relevant work experience of a minimum of 2 years.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills with an ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment.
