Position Overview:
The Akian College of Science and Engineering (https://cse.aua.am/) invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) and Edge Computing at the rank of Assistant Professor, starting in July 2027.
Faculty members are expected to teach three courses per semester and to maintain an active, externally visible research program. Beyond the classroom, the successful candidate will help develop and modernize the curriculum, contributing to new courses, hands-on hardware labs, and project-based learning that reflects current industry and research practice in Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT), embedded systems, and On-Device Intelligence. They will also take part in promoting the College’s programs to prospective students, industry partners, and the broader public, and contribute to university service.
We are looking for a faculty member who will help grow AUA’s AIoT, embedded systems, and On-Device Intelligence, building and leading research projects, establishing a hands-on lab for sensing, embedded, and edge AI systems, supervising student theses and capstones, pursuing competitive funding, and collaborating with local technology and hardware companies and international research groups. The role includes active participation in organizing conferences, workshops, seminars, and hackathons hosted by the College, as well as community-building initiatives that connect students, faculty, alumni, and Armenia’s growing technology sector. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape a strong, collaborative AIoT community and to translate research into real-world impact.
