Job description:
The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for developing a comprehensive Enterprise Architecture (EA) Strategy and long-term ICT roadmap that aligns with the strategic objectives and business priorities of Bangladesh Bank for a duration of two months. The consultant will assess the existing ICT landscape, design an enterprise-wide architecture framework, recommend appropriate technologies and platforms, and establish governance mechanisms to support a secure, scalable, and future-ready ICT environment.
Job responsibilities
- Develop an Enterprise Architecture Strategy that supports the long-term ICT vision, digital transformation objectives, and business goals of Bangladesh Bank.
- Design and develop a comprehensive ICT roadmap, including strategic initiatives, implementation priorities, and technology modernization plans.
- Assess the current ICT environment, systems, infrastructure, applications, and technology landscape to identify improvement opportunities.
- Plan, design, and establish the target-state enterprise architecture, ensuring alignment between business processes, applications, data, technology, and security domains.
- Develop architecture principles, standards, frameworks, and governance mechanisms to support enterprise-wide ICT initiatives.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, and solutions, including cloud services, enterprise software, infrastructure platforms, and emerging technologies.
- Ensure interoperability, scalability, reliability, and sustainability of the overall ICT architecture.
- Identify technical risks, architectural gaps, and dependencies, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and ICT governance frameworks.
- Promote secure architecture practices by incorporating cybersecurity, information security, privacy, and resilience considerations into architectural designs.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to align ICT investments with organizational objectives.
- Prepare detailed reports, architecture blueprints, implementation recommendations, and governance guidelines.
- Provide knowledge transfer and advisory support to relevant stakeholders.
- Perform any other relevant tasks required for the successful completion of the assignment.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), or a related discipline from an internationally reputed academic institution.
- TOGAF, Zachman, ArchiMate, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or other internationally recognized Enterprise Architecture certifications will be considered an advantage.
- Proven experience working as an Enterprise Architect on large-scale ICT transformation, modernization, or digitalization initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience in developing Enterprise Architecture strategies, frameworks, and roadmaps for complex organizations.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing similar large-scale ICT projects.
- Experience in assessing, designing, and governing enterprise-wide ICT architectures, including business, application, data, technology, and security architecture domains.
- Extensive practical knowledge and experience in Enterprise Architecture, preferably gained through a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in advanced countries.
- Experience evaluating and recommending enterprise technology platforms, cloud solutions, infrastructure technologies, and business applications.
- Strong understanding of ICT governance, risk management, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience working with large public sector organizations, central banks, financial institutions, or highly regulated environments will be considered an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to develop architecture standards, governance frameworks, and implementation roadmaps.
