Chartered Accountant - Audit Trainer (Overseas Assignment)

Fixed term contract

Dhaka

Employment term Contract

Category Audit/Compliance

Job description:

Are you a fully qualified Chartered Accountant with a passion for teaching? We are looking for an experienced statutory auditor for a unique contractual overseas assignment.

In this role, you will design and deliver a comprehensive, hands-on audit training program to a cohort of finance graduates. Rather than just reading from a syllabus, you will take them from theory to practice by building real-life case studies, running mock audits, and supervising period-end closes on cloud platforms like Zoho Books.

The Details:

  • The Commitment: 3 months full-time on-site overseas, followed by 3 months of part-time remote support (16 hours/week).

  • The Perks: A competitive fee, plus flights, accommodation, meals, and full board completely covered by SELISE for the entire on-site period.

  • The Requirement: Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience, including at least 10 statutory audits taken from planning to completion (5 as the senior person on site).

If you are ready to shape the next generation of finance professionals and build a curriculum that leaves a lasting impact, apply now!

Job responsibilities

What You Will Do

  • You will design the curriculum, delivery schedule, and assessment approach to take graduates from theory to practice.

  • You will build all training materials, including slides, exercises, worked examples, real-life case studies, and practice data sets for hands-on experience.

  • You will deliver the program in person over three months, covering the reporting framework, transaction cycles, measurement and judgment, period-end close, financial statement preparation, internal control, and ethics.

  • You will run hands-on Zoho Books labs alongside classroom modules so participants learn the accounting question and the system action together.

  • You will supervise participants through at least one full period-end close on live or realistic records.

  • You will design and run a mock audit, review the audit files participants produce, and hold closing meetings on the findings.

  • You will assess each participant individually and report on the capability attained and the gaps remaining.

  • You will provide three months of remote support after the on-site phase at 16 hours per week, covering planned support sessions, query resolution, and month-end close support.

  • You will work jointly with a second Chartered Accountant and coordinate with a senior SELISE finance executive who delivers a two-week module inside the program.

  • You should have personally taken at least 10 statutory audits from planning to completion, including 5 where you were the senior person on site.

  • You should note that internal audit, audit support or offshore delivery centre work, tax work performed within an audit firm, and your articleship or training contract do not count towards the audit requirement.
