About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer with 5 years of experience in developing backend applications using Java. The ideal candidate has a strong background in the design and implementation of REST APIs and brings valuable expertise in navigating the migration or modernization of existing enterprise applications.

What You Will Do

Design, develop, and architect robust backend applications and REST APIs utilizing Java and Jakarta EE.

Implement dependency injection using CDI and manage database transactions with JPA/Hibernate and JTA.

Build and maintain RESTful services using JAX-RS and document them effectively with OpenAPI/Swagger.

Ensure code quality and reliability by writing comprehensive tests with JUnit and managing builds with Maven.

Lead or contribute actively to the modernization and migration of legacy enterprise systems.

Integrate and deploy using modern, cloud-native technologies and frameworks like Quarkus, Docker, and Kubernetes (as applicable).

Implement secure authentication and authorization protocols utilizing OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and JWT.

Who You Are

A seasoned developer with 5 years of proven experience in developing Java backend applications.

Highly proficient in core backend technologies, specifically CDI, JAX-RS, JPA/Hibernate, and JTA.

Experienced in API Design and Architecture, utilizing OpenAPI/Swagger for documentation.

Familiar with standard build and testing tools like Maven and JUnit.

Experienced with the migration or modernization of existing enterprise applications.

Knowledgeable in modern cloud-native architectures, which is considered a significant advantage.

Familiar with Quarkus, Docker, Kubernetes, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, and JSON-B / RestEasy (nice to have).
